The Fortier 30'
The Fortier 30'
The Fortier 30′
The construction of the Fortier 30 is unique to the industry in that experienced craftsmen have laid layers of fiberglass over a Core-Cell® foam core. The result is a very quiet ride, while insulating her against the contrasting cold water temperatures and warm air temperature. The stringers run from bulkhead to transom. The quality of materials and workmanship make the Fortier 30’s the stiffest hull in her class.
The Fortier 30, like its little sister the Fortier 26, and its bigger brother the Fortier 33, is a combination of both boats. The new Fortier 30 has a large cockpit, approximately the same size as the Fortier 33. The redisgned, opening port windows adds classic Down East looks similar to the iconic Fortier 26.
The new Fortier 30 can come with a soft top that can be folded forward of the windshield. You can have a radar arch installed on the aft side of the soft top to support the radar and electronics, or choose an aluminum frame with a fiberglass hardtop for that little extra protection from the elements. Custom teak is used throughout the boat for trim, including the windshield and rub rails. Whether your goal is fishing or cruising or both, the large open cockpit lends itself to customizing in order to satisfy any owner’s individual needs.
A Look Inside
The engine room holds standard twin inboard Volvo Diesels that economically produce a cruising speed of 23+ knots and top speed of approximately 29 knots. The engine room is accessible by a large hatch that lifts hydraulically. For daily service, a small center hatch is manually removable to make routine tasks a breeze to complete.
